This was the scene as we entered the VW CLASSIC!
The first thing we hit was the swap meet. There were plenty of cool things, if you had the money. These Deano 48IDA's for example.(price=$1,100) You could get stock parts or even replica BRM's all the way from the UK. I picked up a Ron Lummus MEGA stinger for Minor Threat from Jack Sacetti for a whopping $10!
How is this for a swap meet item? A vintage drag car complete with DDS rims and motor/w 48IDA's. Asking price? $10,000 obo.
Next we went to the race car section. Muffler Mike was on hand as well as a couple other killer drag cars.
Jim Larsen of JCL race cars had his freshly completed New Beetle drag car on hand. You talk about nice.
MEYER'S MANX CLUB
Next it was my great pleasure to meet the man who originated what would become Minor Threat, Bruce Meyers. We talked for somewhere close to an hour. If you ever get a chance to meet Bruce, take it. He is a great guy as well as the father of fiberglass dune buggies.
There was a few cool Deano Dyno-Soar cars on hand. Their parts getter and Dean's chop top, which is being restored.
The guy that brought the Empi bus also had the swap meet items pictured. Do you recognize one of the prototype BRM's found recently in Florida?
Over in the new vendor's section, Primo Powdercoating had some of their PRIMO hardware on hand!

Two friends, Pat Callihan and Todd Barnett, drove their VW's all the way from Jacsonville,FL.

I could have photographed all day and still not gotten every car. I took time to meet new people and old people that I had never seen. I hope you enjoy the pics as much as I enjoyed taking them.
